One step closer ....

I received a parcel today, and boy was i excited when i saw it was from MicroMedik, the medical company that sells medical instruments. I've made several order to equipped my emergency section.. And when the parcel arrived, i was like a kid eagerly waiting to see my new toys!
First i took out the laryngoscope, its a device used in assisting doctors to insert an endotracheal tube into their larynx when they aren't breathing on their own, the other end which is attached to a artificial respiratory machine or an ambu bag.
Open the box, reveals the blue plastic case.....containing.....
Taaa daaaaa......
The blade of the laryngoscope is attached to the handle like this
Then open up the suitable size of endotracheal tube to be inserted into the man for forther resuscitation.
Below is a video on the insertion of the endotracheal tube.

So, i hope the video did not turn you off or made some of your puke. Eh he???
Next, to check for Oxygen saturation in the blood during the whole resuscitation process, you would need a pulse oxymeter which would cost you a bomb to buy one. So, i managed to get a equally reliable wireless pulse oxymeter.
This has got to be the cutest thing for any doctor in the resuscitation table to see.
Its wireless and operated on AAA size batteries.
Just look how cute is it compare to the conventional oxymeter used in our hospital like this,
Wowser!! What in tarnation is this biggy biggy thingy???? Oh, ho, its the monitor for the pulse oxymeter which is attached to the index finger
I am proud to display my increasing numbers of items to make my clinic an emergency centre.
I got a whole lot of IV fluids , ranging from Hartmans, 0.9 Normal saline, 0.45 dextrose, Urinary catheter and its urinary bag.

Day by day seeing this little corner getting filled up with the necessary drugs to save life. Yeah!.
That's a challenge.
