An unreasonable patient..

Several days ago, I've had this auntie who came for treatment for tear trough and crow's feets.Previously she had a history of eye bag surgery and a double eyelid surgery. She insisted a marked improvement as she claimed her circle of friends are beautiful and rich bunch. Why follow the Joneses?
She came to me with multiple fine lines under the lower eye lids,
Note the multiple excessive skin being left behind that overflows from the side of both yes.Noted the skin (In the circle) is do deep and created such a groove.
Noted the amount of fine lines as well as a little bulge below the eyes as marked.
The photos below where taken a week after the treatment.
The Crow's feet is gone... yet she was unhappy with my work, claimed that I had cause a deepening groove under her eyes...
Luckily I took photos of her before and after photographs.
The picture on the top if the before correction and below is after. It is a marked improvement, yet, she complaint and demanded NO LINE!!
She refuse fillers due to pain, so the only I can do is soften the line with Botox. And she got the audacity to tell me that she's unhappy with the result!!!

Then she continues to blame me for the eye bagthat resulted from the injections...You see for yourselves.
The photo above is taken preior to injection. Notice the bulge just right below the eye lid.
The below photos clearly shows the eyebag was dramatically reduce..
Even After I showed her the pre and post and side by side picture of before  and after, she still claimed that I didn't perform a good job.
I think she's one of those ladies who  expect cosmetic surgery to make her look like Heidi Klum, anything less than that, it's all botched jobs!
Hello, reality check,lah...
You expert this,

 to become this?
Perhaps she should ask for a head transplant instead.

Presentation day today...

Its just another hour before my presentation starts. It's my first ever public appearance, and I am sure nervous. Shit! This is such a crappy feeling.
Its times like these that make we wonder how famous orators, like our previous PM, Tun Mahathir, Anthony Robbins, or even Adolf Hitler were about to move the entire audience with their speech and presentation.
Now I am beginning to appreciate their gift.
Without doubt, Hitler's a mean an inhuman, but his speech was filled with passion.
Who can address a crowd of 2 million without hiccups, but instead turn the crowd into a frenzy, and emotionally charged up?
Sure there are fantastic speakers today, like Anthony Robbins.
Sure, he'll make you do crazy things like firewalking....
.... but that's beside the point. The point is these speakers are influential, and are blessed with gifts that move earth with their words.
I am partially hyperventilating right now as I am typing this.
No, I am not trying to make anyone doing crazy things that seemed " beyond humanly possible"  like firewalking.... naahh... just trying to get people to get themselves jabbed.
I feel like puking... seriously...

My dream car.....

My dream car has got to be Aston Martin. Way before James Bond made it a his signature car, I've already had my mind set on it.
More than a Ferrari, Maserati,or a Porsche, there is something unique about Aston Martin that stands out amongst other high performance cars.
I see too many Ferrari's and Porsche's on the road these days. So, if I am infinitely well off, I would go for something elegant, redefined beauty which the Italians has set a gold standard for other car manufacturer to follow as exemplified by Ferrari,Maserati, and Lamborghini.
With it's sleek and slender curves, and high performance,it's a fusion in art and technology at its peak.
However, would it be foolish to spend your hard earned RM2.6+ million on a two seater, when there are other alternatives.
GTRs classes are road monsters.
Some actually outperformed Porsche, being the gold standard in sports cars.
Cars with Turbochargers, like the legendary Mitsubishi Evolution series.
If's signature sound of turbocharger type TD05HR 16G6 9.8T is unmistakably one of the sweetest sound to my ears.
I've  told my wife that I will own one sports car in this lifetime of mine.
Yesterday, we had our family day out. We decided to go to Cineleisure to check on the status of my modified MP5 which under repair. My eyes widened, heart raced, synapses shoots the moment I saw Mitsubishi Evolution 10 on display....
My attention was so glued to beast, that I made a promise to reaffirm my aim to own this car in this lifetime.
Its almost mouthwatering watching these beast such up close. And when I asked how much does it cost on the road?
Sir, sir, it's only RM338K.....

Recollecting good old memories as a student in India....

Continue to live even after death....

I was pleasantly surprised with the arrival of this post placed right on my table this morning.
Remember my post "One of the best films ever"..
I've registered with the National Transplant  Society during my housemanship while working in Kuala Lumpur General Hospital. It's just I've figured how would the hospital know that I've signed up to donate my organs upon death if there's no documents that I can carry with. I mean when I'm dead, I can't suddenly get up and say ," I want to donate my liver!"
So I called the National Transplant Society for an ID card.
There are over 10,000 people who's lives depends of organs. What is left of my is my lifeless body upon death. I can still help after death, continue to live after death. To me, that is the the ultimate sacrifice.
It's a self laminated card which you carry in your wallet .
You have a choice of organs for you t donate. Since i am not sick or down with any chronic illnesses, i chose to donate my entire body, heart, lung, liver, cornea, bone, and skin.
"Our body is like a hand glove,
Our bodily existence's short, our life's not,
I;ll continue to live through others,
Even long after I've blown my last breathe.."--Dr Wan C Hung,

My first corporate presentation.

Its my privilege to be appointed by a giant pharmaceutical company to present a public awareness campaign on cervical cancer. It's an opportunity for me to "give back" to society what citizens of a developing country deserves, rights, knowledge, and access to proper health care and protection from previously a "condemned to death upon diagnosis" disease.
Will be presenting a talk to corporate giant, IBM this coming 23rd and 2th, yet, I am not prepared! My aim is to convey a message with an impact.

One of the best musical compilation...

Without a doubt, I am a music fanatic. I listen to a wide range of genres. Right from Rap to Rock, jazz to jive, whether its purely instrumental to strictly articulation, I love them all. It's one of the most expressive ways of the inner feelings. Music exist along with creation of mankind as far as it's concern, with its humble beginning from the paleolithic era to high tech electronically created tunes of synthesizers.
An account of musical compositions can be found right the the Hindu scriptures, the Vedas in the form of Indian classical music, to the largest collection of prehistoric musical instruments in China.
Its a tool of which many civilizations in the past used to create an artistic expression, right from personal grudges and dispositions to political agendas.
As for me, my taste in music is ever evolving. Right from the straight up melodious Pops to begin with, right up to the very expressive of the oppressed Rock and Rap, to very recent acquired taste in alternative rock/grudge genre.
I sincerely do not know how to begin in discussing music as my interest goes in depth, so much so that it seemed to have engrained right in the depth of my subconscious mind.
Have you ever fell in love with a tune right away, something so unexplainable, that it seemed like a rediscovery of a long lost part of a whole self, while some musical genres are acquired upon listening to for several times.
An access to music to not an luxury but rather a necessity in life. One expresses thoughts and ideas through it. Well, lets face it, mankind would have lost its essence with life being mundane if not because of music.
It would take numerous post to totally express what my view are upon a wide range of music, but in this post, I would like to share a genre that seemed exotic, yet pretentious for some, with subconscious association in this genre with eccentricity, high class living, and exclusivity. I am talking about classical music, right from the Renaissance, Baroque, where several major music forms were defined that lasted into later periods when they were expanded and evolved further, including the fugues, sonatas, and concertos. Well, to be honest, I've never studied music nor am I trained in any musical instruments. Nevertheless, I appreciate them.
Honestly, I do not see what's so exotic about Mozart. I heard of people claimed to be lost, to be in a higher plane of consciousness while listening to it. Well,, I've tried listening to them, but all it does is triggering misfires of the synapses of my mind. I get so restless listening to it. My two cents tells me Tupac far outweighs in terms of mind calming effect than Mozart. Perhaps it takes a musical genius to appreciate such "haphazardly composed" pieces.
However, years ago, I've bought a double CD compilation of "The Most Relaxing Classical Music Ever!...."(as the title suggested)
It started with, yes I agree a tastefully mind calming well composed "Air in G String" by Johan Sebastian Bach, and ended with a grandiose Rhapsody on a theme of Paganini.
Contained within this album is one of the best compilations of classical music.
Surprised that even for a person who listens to Tupac and Alice in Chains would even appreciate classical music?
I've included some of the most listened to classical to share with you guys. Hope you would enjoy it as much as I do.
1.Air on G string by Johan Sebastian Bach.
2.Claire de lune by Debussy.
3.Canon in D major by Pachebel.
4.Gymnopedie for Piano No.1 by Eric Satie.
5.The Swan from Carnival of the Animals by Camille Saint-Saëns

To my beloved wife. ...

It's been 7 years since we've walked upon the same road in life, and you have to put up with my peccadilloes in life, which not many is able to tolerate. You've been forgiving, and ever loving. You've stood by my side in times of difficulties, and had supported me emotionally, and never failed to lend me a listening ear, or a lap for which I could rest my head upon.
Besides companionship and unparalleled love, you've given me three beautiful angels which I'm privileged to groom and grow.
Remember the day our first born child's first cry. It's was the most soothing sound I've ever heard, which marked the beginning of fatherhood for me.
Isabelle has brought so much joy in our lives. Her first day at school, her first dance performance, her first bicycle ride, it's all been golden.

4 years later, little Natalie came into our lives.
With the arrival of Leonidas, it completes us as a family.
The best part of my everyday life is the moment I arrive home from work, and of course, the sight of our children sleeping has got to be the most soothing and heart warming moment. It reminds me everyday the importance to live life right, as these three little munchkins depends on us. It gave me a strong sense of purpose in life, with all it's beauty and passion.
Most importantly, I am privileged to bring up these three children with you.
I may have said words that hurts, acted in ways that disappoints you, but all that was never done in purpose. For only you would know my weaknesses and shortcomings, despite which you still share your life with.
If I can afford it, and all with God's will, I shall shower you with warmth and love in this short life time. You've been a wife for life.
I hope you'll enjoy the song with such simplistic, yet emotional, and heart soothing song.

Grandma's 89th birthday at Bangsar Shopping centre.

It is the annual occasion of the year where all the cousins now working all spread out through Malaysia and Singapore get together.
My youngest auntie would be in charge of selecting the venue for dinner and celebration. This time, it would be a Chinese restaurant, called Grand Imperial, in Bangsar Shopping Centre.
The section of which the restaurant is located is nothing short of being grandiose.
We were greeted by friendly restaurant 'captain' who lead us into our specially pre-booked dining room.
The last time my wife and I came to BSC, was years ago, long before we got married to attend a sketch/drama/comedy by local comedian extraordinaire Indi Nadarajah and Allan Perera.

This is the first time I've been to BSC since it being renovated. I use to pass by Bangsar and can't help to notice the exotic cars lined up at the entrance of the shopping complex.
My grandma's birthday has always been grandiosely held in expensive restaurants, but it's not the venue but the family reunion that truly makes the moment golden.
This year alone, two of my cousin brothers are getting married by the end of this year.
Food was nice, but the company is far beyond that.
It was a fantastic moment for all of us. The highlight was of course my grandma's cake cutting.
Happy Birthday, Ah Ma...
Have actually thought of painting a flower for her, but my busy schedule held me up. It was a busy day in the clinic, with the least time to spare. SO... desperately need to improvise.
Got down the roadside when I spotted a pretty flower. Not too sure what flower is it, but it's white and pretty. White always symbolizes purity, innocence, and longevity.
Took a photo of it with 100mmf2.8 Macro lens, and had it framed.
I sincerely hoped my grandma likes it.

Steven Slater.... from Zero to Hero!!!!!

Internet has totally revolutionized they way we communicate across the globe. The global connectivity, news travels at a neck breaking speed.Whatever things that catches media attention, the news minutes minutes spread throughout the world at an exponential rate.
Well, the latest news on the E - version shows this picture
That's right. You're on the  front page of all the newspaper in most countries with a few minutes of your "outburst".
Within hours facebook profiles was set up with millions of people leaving comment, some cheering him on.
I simply can't help myself but to post something in it as well..
The funny thing is that this guy looses his cool, went up to the cabin mic and shouted profanity to the passenger, open the emergency exit door, deployed the emergency slides, and grabbed 2 cans of beers before bailing out from the plain. The pressure of taking care of his ailing mother, and had to tolerate hours, days, weeks, and months of all sorts of unreasonable passengers,I would lose my marbles if given the same situation. He had enough of it, and I am sure it took a lot of guts to act in anarchic manner... that leads to him to bail out and walk away without looking back.
The best part of all of this was that he drove home right away and had sex with his boyfriend. Yes,he's a gay!.
What I read next make me slipped off my chair was, the police force that came to arrest him in his residence came in full tactical gear, with SWAT teams, and a chopper!!!!!Heos not a terrorist, he is just a guy who've had it with all the bull shit and just letting off some steam!,, and the police have to send all personnel available in the precinct!!!
SWAT with snipers, helicopters hovering his house....what is this?????
This is ridiculous. The neighbours found it rather amusing that the police came full force for this man!
and not to mention the helicopters!!!
Hey, why not sent in an army infantry while at it?

Why not send in the air force, Navy, marines, and army while at it.

Music that speaks...

Several post ago, I made an introduction to John McLaughlin and the band,Shakti. It's one of the timeless music that I got introduced to while pursuing my medical degree in India.
I did share some of it's music in the post. It was nothing short of mindblowing.
It's one of those album where you tend to lose yourself and gets isolated from the surroundings upon listening to their sense stimulating tunes and tones.

The word Shakti in Sanskrit means power. And this album is simply packed with a punch.

It's one of the album that makes a person purchase high end sound system "just" to appreciate every tunes the instruments make.

If you are one of those individuals who appreciates acoustic instruments, this is a "must have" album.
Every single music in this album is filled with impact and mind thumbing tunes that seemed to speak to you.

As I have no idea on how to past an audio file onto a post, the best thing i can do is to embed the YouTube version here.
Or perhaps you could download the songs which I've uploaded at www.box.net .Wait a second, let me see.. ok, I've found a way. I've linked my uploaded songs into these titles below. You can download it from here. It's in WMA format.
