During the month of September this year, I came to know about this movie called The Soloist, featuring Jamie Foxx and Robert Downey Jr.
What made this movie wonderful, unique, and touching is that the story is based on real people, real character, real life scenario.
Real life journalist, Steve Lopez was once sitting by a park drinking beer, when he heard a melodious tune of cello.
He soon realizes that a homeless man was playing the cello with only two strings! The homeless guy introduce himself as Mr. Nathaniel Ayers. Curious about a homeless guy who seemingly not in the right frame of mind would possess such talent, he came to know that Mr Ayer attended the prestigious musical Julliard school.
This deepens Mr Lopez's curiosity, and decided to write an article about Mr Ayer. Wondering how could it possible than a student from Julliard would end up on the streets, he called up the school administration and was told he never attended the prestigious school.
Later on, the administrative staff called Mr Lopez that he overlooked the graduates, but according to record, Mr Nathaniel indeed was enrolled in Julliard, however bumped out at the end of second year. A call to Mr Ayer's sister, Mr Lopez was told that Mr Ayer was a child musical prodigy who mastered not only the cello, but possessed equal mastery in violin and other instruments as well.
He was enrolled to School of Julliard where the faculty members thinks Nathaniel is one of the most gifted prodigy of our time. Unfortunately he started hearing voices in his head, and was subsequently diagnosed to have depressive schizophrenia.
No doctors or psychiatrist is able to help Nathaniel, except for the soothing uplifting sound of music as it assails into his senses.
Below is a clip of how Nataniel played duet with another musician. You'll appreciate his talent after watching this video.
Mr Nathaniel today still hears voices in his head, but no longer homeless.
Watching this, I realized what music is to him. He could just stay in the open air irrespective of whether and still get lost, or rather high in his music. To him, music is a bridge that connects the gap between the ugly reality of life from the beautiful, heartfelt, and warm heavenly place during when he is musically intoxicated.
Just the look on Nathaniel's face when he was playing the musical instruments tells me music is his lifeline. His life revolves around music.
God is fair. Nobody is perfect. One excels in a field, but deficit in another. Like the most brilliant mind of our generation, Professor Steven Hawking. His brilliance is off the chart, but he is paraplegic and could only move the muscle of his forefingers and his eyelids.
Beethoven, who was deaf, yet able to write musical pieces so beautiful so much so that it sounds angelic. He write by feeling the vibration the instruments emanates when struck a cord.
I sincerely hope you have enjoyed reading this as I find it rather heartwarming and soul soothing. I hope it gave you the similar feeling as it has given me.

Watch what you post in YouTube
Eight years ago, this video showing a heavy set teenager flinging uncontrollably what looks like a piece of wood, in attempt to mimic some Kung Fu moves. This video clipped was posted onto youtube and uptil today, there has been more than a billion viewer watching it.
He became emotionally traumatized seeing how fast the video has been viewed by people across the globe, almost exponentially. He was so emotionally and psychologically troubled by it that he got himself checked in a psychiatric ward. His parents sued those who had posted the video online.
The moral of the story is,don't get deluded into thinking you 're some great martial artist , then make a mockery of yourself, and got the whole act recorded by friends!
This video was watched by so many, that there are some who released remakes by adding in special effects on it like the one here.
Poor Kid!!!

What impression does my blog projects?
Million blogs, and with each having their agenda and purposes. Some mainly for financial purposes, some for dissemination of political ideas and beliefs, while most of us blog as a personal daily rants, in a digital diary where it's forever immortalized within the world wide web.
For those who reads my blog, what is your impression on me? Just because I write several poems depicting angst, anger, emotional turmoil, and often in those poems are embedded picture of angels and Jesus Christ. And just because of that, does it project the image of me being a Christian fanatic?I am a Buddhist, and as a Buddhist, I see the beauty beyond the diverse religions we have in the world. God is like the sunlight, and religions represents the magnifying glass of which we are able to concentrate the rays onto a single point. But the source of ray is from the same sun.
For this matter, I have fellow Christians who commented on how astray I am as a CHRISTIAN. First and foremost I am not a Christian. The last post I wrote was about how a lady banged onto the back of my car while parking. Of all the comments that I received, I got this out of a sudden.
When I checked his website, goodness that first thing that popped in my mind was "Jim Jones"
NO,man. I am not talking about JJ the American Rapper.
I am talking about the paranoid cult leader who lead one of US's most talked about mass suicide that claimed over 900 lives.
I am talking about this crazy mutha****** here.
Jim Jones aka Congressman killer, aka, cult leader, who lead one of America's infamous mass suicide my cyanide poisoning.
Anyway, for those with kids, have you ever have the impression that your kids are growing faster than supposedly. I mean no thanks to mass media, they have become more precocious.
My little Natalie who love watching Mickey mouse and Funhouse,
NOw insisted on watching the hideous overgrown purple dinosaur,
It's Barnie in the kitchen, Barnie in the living hall, Barnie in the bedroom.... I'll go berserk each time I see this purple dinosaur. I drive me nuts.
Because of this song, Natalie goes on singing "I love you" while hugging everyone she sees.
Aiyo Natalie, don't grow up too fast, lerr!
I know little Isabelle has entered the phase she she starts listening to MTV music! I was literally shocked when she started singing Tic Toc by Kesha while doing her homework.
I've heard it somewhere in the shopping mall, but can't get myself to google who the heck is Kesha, until Isabelle started singing the song.
My little princess is listening to Pop music now!
Ahh... and I must say, she's been receiving a fair share of flattering compliments on her looks as well.
Well, call me bias if you want, but I got this feeling that Leonidas is going to grow up with interest just like daddy, guns.I spent over RM1000 purchasing the accessories for my MP5, and I simply love fiddling with it, whether the simple act aiming the gun with it's telescopic sights or tactical laser reflex sights gives me a sense of satisfaction.
One thing as noticed is Leonidas kept on grabbing the MP5 from me. I don't now, Its a little premature to say this but I got a feeling we're going to have a tight bond between me and Leo cause daddy is going to buy you a miniature BB gun in a few years time!!!
Mini M4
Mini MP5
G3 Mini
Mini Styer
Mini AK47
Mini Uzi....
hahaha...I can Imagine Leo and I shooting down the house!
Don't be fooled by this cute innocent look, for he inherited his father's trigger happy quality.

Talk about being unlucky....
It was around 6pm as I was sitting in my consultation room, when I suddenly heard a loud bang, then my car alarm went off.. Oh,No! this is not good...Some new driving driving a small car, you know, kancil, kelisa or myVi type banged at the back of my car while parking. How is it possible when there is so much space to maneuver?
She banged my car as she was parking next to mind. There was quite a crowd who saw the accident happening, so there's very little chance or any at all for the driver to drive away.
When I saw my bumper near falling off, it's felt like being stabbed with a dagger right on my chest!
She came out kept on apologizing.
The bumper was ripped off from it's screw that held it on. Though its a minor thing, but the tip of the bumper was in contact with the car wheel.
I can't drive as it'll scrap on my tires.
I have no idea on how she passed her driving test, because if you accidentally scratched , well, perhaps she wasn't paying attention while driving. But there was a significant marked on my rim, which goes to show that she over steered and came right to my tires.
My car was parked within my box, and it witnessed by several dozen eyes.Unquestionably the fault is her..
The sight of my car being at condition breaks my heart.

Unleash the child in me ...part 2
Though the MP5 that I've got is just a BB gun, but since being modified, and bought a whole bunch of accessories with it, like the laser reflex sight, and Tasco sniper rifle scope, it now has become more than a BB. It's s a short range weapon, that spits out a menacing 650 pellets per minutes.
A basic MP5A5 to begin with. Modified with a stronger spring mechanism, and 8 external rechargeable batteries, thus increasing the power by 30-40%.
Then added a Picatinny railing on top of it to mount accessories lights laser sights, scopes, or even a tactical light.
The Picatinny rail, the sights, scopes, infrareds, tactical light, and laser are actually bought from US and are the real deal.
Extended stock without the magazine. I was surprised when I found out the brand of scope that I purchased,Tasco, though it's considered middle range, it's actually well built and being used by special forces around the world.Eg. Navy Seal.
It has 4 X magnifications. To demonstrate what I mean, let me illustrate.
Notice the white box circled in red. It's a 1.5'x4' box placed around 10 meters from my shooting position.
Yes, it's my clinic, across the consultation room, the dispensary and registering counter.
As I was aiming the target....
That's the actual crosshair and scope. I had difficulties adjusting the scope and my camera to make it align on each other. Finally done it.
Snap!!I fired a round.
Now, to see whether did I hit the target.(you'll have some difficulties adjusting the sights,or term zeroing the cross hair since the trajectory of the pellet drops as it goes further, you'll have 2 dials that clicks as you adjust to correct factors like wind, distance, trajectories, and etc. Yes, this scope comes with a table that tabulates the trajectory vs distance, and the adjustments needed.
My target is actually a box of contraceptive pills. Check out the entry point.
This is the exit site. With it's power, i think it's capable to kills birds perched on a tree.
had. Even before I got this MP5, I was already in weaponry, war histories, development of weapons, special forces, and technologies involved in conventional warfare.
This are my collections on military books. The true story of 3rd October 1993, Operation Gothic Serpent, was made into a movie, called Black Hawk Down, directed by non other than the famous Ridley Scott, who gave us Gladiator, Kingdom of Heaven, Robin Hood, Body of Lies, and Alien.
As it's suicidal to shoot the movie in Mogadishu, (by the non of the extras are Mogadishu actors), the movie was made in Morocco instead.
Ridley Scott is known for his taste for authenticity in his movie. He seldom use blue screen then digitally alters or create a scene. Since you CAN'T actually waste 2 USD14 million chopper for the sake of movie making, the production crew actually wrote to Pentagon and successfully was given two decommissioned Huey helicopters to be modified to look like a Blackhawk.
Imagine from this,
is modified on it's exterior to look like a Sikorsky UH-60, or better known as Blackhawks.
I've got three copies of Original Black Hawk down DVDs. Crazy, but if you are a collector, and committed in your hobby, you'll do the craziest insane things for the sake of it.
The first original copy that I got for RM28 was filtered and censored by FINAS, so much so that the quality of the movie sucks, and the sound sucks even more. Any pirated DVD version would be much better then this crappy original that I've had.
Then when the shop imported DVDs straight from the US, that's when I got my second copy, for RM48. It is crispy clear. A few months passed by when the uncut, special edition, with 30 minutes extra long footage was released, that's when I got my third copy for a sinfully expensive price that I am ashamed to reveal.
Books such as these are treated and carefully placed so non of my kids were able to reach out for it and start drawing on it.
This is one of my favourite book. God illustration, explained in details the function and different groups of weapons, it's on field applications, and techniques of weapons handling, closed quarter combat, historical facts on weapons and it's profile are all written in this book.
But then, of course you want to know in depth each and every weapon that exist today, you must have this.
This is like the encyclopedia of weaponry.
Then of course I never missed a single issue of a monthly basis locally written military magazine.
I often ask myself, why do I have such a desire to be in the army?
Perhaps, maybe just perhaps it stemmed from my childhood experience with playing with little green soldier figurines.

Unleash the child within me!!
It has always been my childhood dream to joint the army, particularly the special forces, but as I grow up, I reason it was not possible as 1.race factor. 2. discrimination 3. you can forget about joining the army when you have a family.
So,whenever I passed by shops selling soldiers figurines that cost RM300-RM400, I don't even hesitate to purchase them.
Previously I spent over RM1k for 3 replicas, 1 SWAT,1 US rangers, and a WWII figurine.
Then I modify it to increase the power by 30 %. Then the assault rifle bag. Soon, the laser reflex tactical sights.
This gives umps to the assault rifle, yah?
After a while, My desire slowly became an obsession. I decided to collect scopes instead.
So, the Tasco 4 X 32 optical sights.
After all of this, please don't tell me it ain't cool....
You got to be lying if you think this is not cool
