What doI ultimately seek for.

Happiness? It's just an interval between 2 sufferings. I desperately crave for a blissful mind. I don't seek for happiness, as I know it doesn't last forever. What I want is total permanent transformation. A blissful mind, where it transcends above all human emotions.
Humans have this wrong idea that mankind represents the life and living, hence spends a great deal of their time recruiting wealth, a better lifestyle, soon, a limitless desire. Prime in a man's life never last. Instead of a child being born, grow up, spends years in education for better job, grow old, wither and die. Well, what do you get from all of these?
The Great Conqueror,Alexander the Great, fought throughout his entire life, conquering the Mediterranean to the Himalayas, which all the vast land and richness he acquired, when he died,
his palm were opened facing upwards, before his body was burned in Macedonian rituals, to point out that he carries nothing with him into the afterlife.
Sufferings. As long as we exist, there is no escape from sufferings. What to do when faced with daunting unbearable pain.Hopefully not, hence the need to practice overcoming human urge and emotion.
No, I am not under any influence of drug while writing this post, but it's something that has been lingering in mind for the longest time edging me to express it.

To the commenter on "GUNS"

First of all, I've deleted your comments just to avoid you from making an embarrassment for yourself . First of all, you commented about how cavalier I was discussing about guns. Well, I am passionate about it. And the posting that has my daughter hold on to a G36C......is not a gun.
This is a gun.
This is a gun.
 Now...THIS is a rifle...not a gun.
This German G36C is a rifle....also not a gun.
As civilians in Malaysia, NOBODY except estate owners, Datuks, millionares, and the police are allowed to own a weapon.
Want to see my collection of rifles?
There. Now, these aren't just rifles, but assault rifles. Only the armed forces, or military have such military graded assault rifles. In case you have not read my previous post, these are toys that shoots BBs. The only thing which is real are the accessories, the scopes, the laser, the torch, and the installed Picatinny railing. Other than that, these are Custom approved imported toys as they are not made 1:1 size with the real thing.
There you go.Tokyo Marui, BB guns and rifles makers from Japan. This is engraved onto my German Heckler and Koch's G36C.
And no,I didn't joint the National Service, as when it first started, I was already working, married, with children.
Customs classified this as toys, not weapons(you can write to them yourself).
Again, I would like to emphasize that it was my dream to join the military, but since it isn't practical for obvious reason for non Bumi's to join, the childhood dream of mine remained.
I hope this clears your doubts. By the way, my daughter was holding the rifle in my clinic. If it's a weapon, who the heck would bring a rifle to a clinic and shoot indoor. Shooting isn't exactly an indoor sports, you know.

My weekend

Sunday. The only day I look forward to, and once it's over, I begin to look forward  for the next one.
It has been quite sometime now since our family have breakfast together. So, we decided to go to the nearest Mamak stall for some Roti Canai and teh tarik session.
Too bad Leo can't follow us. He still eats baby food, and I'm sure they done serve them in the stall.
Yup, this is where we're heading to. 24/7/365 operating mamak shop that I never go for dinner as they often recycle the leftover material throughout the day. I started to notice a pattern where I'll run to the toilet with my ass burning each time I have dinner here. Yup, I've learned the hard way.
Natalie has no clue on what to eat. "You want "Roti Canai"? She gave me a blank stare. Then when mummy asked, "DO you want roti tisu?" --she replied, "No mummy, I don't want to eat tissue!!! That really cracked me up.
She had her first taste of Roti tisu that this morning, and she instantly fell in love with it.
My wife's Roti Telur was something I had once too often.
I've always wanted to try something different, hence tosai masala.
Looks yummy right?.......rrrriiigghhhtttt because I felt like throwing up after eating half of it.
Both Natalie and Leonidas has been coughing non stop for always 2 weeks now. Perhaps it's about time we bring them to the Pediatrician rather than treating them myself.
We waited for quite a while as there were many patients that morning.
Natalie totally lost the concept of time when her attention got diverted with all the toys available there. But after a while, she got pretty tired.
I looked at my watch as I have an surgical appointment with one of my patient at 11.30am.
Though in practice Sunday is family time, but if I have patient needing surgical intervention, I would sacrifice my time for them as I can take my own sweet time without having to worry about other patient waiting for me.
It was this poor Chinese lady who had a botched job by well known beauty centre, that ended up with infection and pockets of pus all over her thighs. The first doctor she went to was a qualified surgeon, whom God knows why, punctured the pockets of pus, squeezing the pus out, then stuffed pieces of gauze in the cavity, and all that was done without anesthetics. If she came to me, I would have done and total excision of pus and drainage, once it's clean, I'll suture it up, then after 5 days, sutures are removed without any problems. But the wise doctor decide instead to  simply puncture the pocket then leave the scar for healing by second intention.
This poor lady's been coming for daily dressing for about a month now, without seeing improvement. SO, I've decided to intervene by modifying the punctured wound, made and excision to remove the hole, wash up then suture the wound up.
The chronic non healing wound.
Excise the wound,
Clean the would with plenty of saline and antiseptic solution,
So, I have converted a chronically infected would into a thoroughly clean one.Final step, suturing.
At times I sincerely wonder if common sense is really that common.
After the 1 1/2 hours surgery, I was hungry, and my parents are waiting for me for lunch.
We headed down to the famous "Hor Fun" place in Damansara Perdana. I simply love their "dry hor fun".
and short of being alive, they serve the freshest chicken ever.
Right after our lunch, we headed to 1Utama, just for window shopping and to see the Chinese New Year decoration for this year. We were sorta disappointed with what we saw.
It wasn't elaborated like it used to.
Nevertheless, the kids enjoyed themselves just to get out from  the house.
After hours of window shopping, we decided to take a breather by having a refreshing cup of joe. But guess what, THE SERVICE WAS SO BAD that we sat there for 1/2 hour and no one came to give us the menu. My dad lost his cool, and angrily question the workers who walked pass us several dozen times. They gave us the menu, but no, after another 1/2 hour nobody came to take our order, even after I lost my cool and raised my voice at them to take our order. BLOODY NOBODY bothered. That was the worst service we ever received or rather did not received. Angrily, we decided to go elsewhere.
Next stop,Nyonya colour.
Cucuk Udang!!!!!!!
Freshly baked cream puffs!!!!!
And this popular God knows what this is called cake.
Natalie's eye sparked!!!!!!!
....and Malaysian's all time favourite,Rojak.
After dinner, we continued our walk.... Until something caught my attention,
CROCS! Without doubt this has got to be the  cutest crocs that I ever came across.
After about another hour, we decide to call it a day. It's been fun, with the kids enjoying themselves.

Lets prevent premature death.

I just got to know that January is cancer prevention week. After talking to three family member who's spouse or siblings succumbed to cervical cancer, and seeing my own auntie battling cancer for 9 months,I remember vividly standing by her deathbed, her breathing was shallow, she became unresponsive to calls, her stare was blank, despite knowing the inevitable, my uncle kept on urging my aunt to fight, never to give up, but with the machines attached to her to read her vitals kept on beeping, she was long gone, and that the breathing and the heartbeat were self regulated despite brain dead.As long as her brainstem still works, her heart will continue to beat, breathing is purely automated. I couldn't find the heart to tell my uncle who was constantly cuddling her, saying sweet loving words to her.
I was determined then. Nobody should die like this. This is painful death. Her death doesn't stop the grieving family, the psychological, mental, and emotional scar is indescribable. Only one who goes through this knows the impact cancer has upon ones family.
And with the discovery of cervical cancer vaccine, it marked a milestone in medicine, changed the course of mankind forever.
But the sad new remained, ignorant doctors, ignorant public,. I bet those very few cancer survivors would wish the vaccine were discovered much earlier.
Often times, I felt like fighting a battalion of ignorant army all alone. How great would it be if I have brothers or sisters in arms and together we take the challenge of educating the public one by one. If the ignorant are challenging enough, what about the skeptics, those who write books and had them published, poisoning the minds of people by feeding them lies like these diseases aren't as rampant or serious as it's being told, but merely a ploy by pharmaceutical companies to earn their money, where the share holders would laugh away as the public sees  the emergence  of such vaccine is a "miracle" in medicine.
Ladies, it is a miracle. I may have said this a million times, but I will say it again. The next big thing in medicine where it's significance is at par with the discovery of cancer vaccine would probably be the discovery for the cure for AIDS.
Since the masses are rather ignorant, and probably being deluded with the thoughts that they aren't so unlucky to get cancer, well, please think again. Do you know that the charts, figures, and graphs that represents mortality were once human with family like you and me.
Don't let doubts creeps into your mind. I have been sitting in front of the computer the whole day writing proposal to human resource departments of giant companies like Maxis,Digi,Berjaya Group, and Shell.
I am offering RM165 per dose, probably one of the lowest price in the nation, well probably the lowest...
Love your siblings, wife, cousins,?Spread the news to them. The threat of cervical cancer is very real.
The least you could do is to spent some time at another site which I dedicate entirely on cervical cancer. Click here to be directed there.See your doctor today.

Got my G36 back

Yes, I admit that I am quite childish considering my age. Recently I had my often jammed G36 for repair and since I got the brand new Bushnell rifle scope, I asked them to mount the scope for me.
I just got the rifle back yesterday, and boy was I excited or what! I brought along the targets ,my all purpose ammunition, tool, and accessory bag,  and of course the rifle to the clinic.
Since we picked up Isabelle from Kumon and equally eager to try out on the rifle, why not since I am there to supervise her.
I've added a fore grip and since the rifle is a little big and heavy for Isabelle to carry, I folded the stock to enable her to shoot. Even after having the stock folded, the weight of the rifle which is 50% metal and 50%high grade polymer didn't make aiming any easier for me. So, instead of looking through the cross hair of the scope, I switched on the laser beam for her, so she could shoot without having the aim at the target.
As you can see clearly Isabelle is shooting by aiming the laser beam to the target rather than looking through the scope.
She gleefully laughed when she missed her target, which was just 15 meters away. The pellets went astrayed hitting the wall, ricochet and hit my nurse instead. After around 10 minutes, she had enough of it and passed it over to me.
Well, ladies and gentlemen, allow me to formally introduce to you Heckler and Koch's 1995's assault rifle, my very own AEG(Airsoft Electrical Gun).
Even though stored in it's specially designed bag, I was told not to bring this bag around public area as it would definitely raise attention among the law enforcer. That is something you don't want because though the gun is a toy, but the accessories are real.
I had the fore grip removed as it doesn't fit into the storage bag while attached on the rifle.
Stock fully extended with the fore grip unattached.
Everything is attached except for the magazine. Otherwise it would have been lock and loaded.
Bushnell as one of the top ten best rifle scope in the world really differs from the previous 2 Tasco scope that I bargained for. To adjust the leverage, and to correct wind directions that influence the flight of the bullet. In military, they have a special school for scout sniper training called USMC scout sniper school, which is highly regarded as the best sniper school in the world.
In sniping, 80% of their time is for reconnaissance, while 20% of their mission is planned assassination. Wind direction, humidity, curvature of the earth, the science of ballistics must be second nature for a scout sniper.
Well, the Bushnell scope that I bought has a 9x magnification, more than enough for any assault rifle. The scope used by the true snipers has got much higher magnification power, than would enable to see target as far as 1.5 miles.
There is no chance whatsoever for me as a civilian to own a real rifle unlike in the US where the constitutions bears the rights for individuals to own their own weapon.
Hah, I can't imagine Malaysian walking about carrying guns and rifles. You know what I mean. (Pun intended)
Bushnell scopes are made with the highest quality, a single tube filled with nitrogen, multicoated lens, shock and water proof, used by Special Forces around the world. Would you believe if I tell you the scope is way far more expensive then the rifle?

This would be one of my prized possession.
