It's been about a week since my last post. The truth is there is so much things going on in my life. both personally and professionally. Lets just put it this way... my life is far from "ideal".
Many things occurred last 1 week. However I can't post those tiny bits as there isn't much to write about.
Business is slow as usual.
Since this post is related to phones, let me guide you to a brief history of the phone's that I once owned.
My first handphone was from Nokia. Back then 2001, we have not installed dialed up internet connection, since broadband hasn't been introduced then.
My lovely Nokia 6100
I loved this phone to the max. Being my first phone bears a special bond. But sadly,in less than 4 months, it got stolen while I was on call in the hospital.
Back then, the two communication titans were Nokia and Motorola. But I still, I tend to favour Nokia for unknown reason. Perhaps the simplicity, not to mention the quality. Thus my second phone, Nokia 1100.
Among so many phone I've used, this would be the longest.I was using this phone for around 2 years, where phones with coloured screen with polyphonic ring tone was still at its infancy.
Today, this phone is still functioning and thought of giving it to Isabelle when she's old enough.
Since Samsung was the first company that came out with colour screen and polyphonic ring tones, in addition being endorsed and associated with the movie Matrix,I bought my first Samsung phone.
So it happened to be a flip phone. I find it rather"cool" when I flipped to answer callers. This last about 11/2 years. Then 3G phones emerges from the market, video phones, that enable MMS picture messaging arrived. I switched the other Titan in this business.
Motorola RZR. This phone is so small and and slim at the same time.I loved it so much that when I accidentally lost the phone, without giving a second thought, I went ahead to purchase the same modal.
Till date, I would think think this phone to be the slimmest around.Somehow signs of break down begin to show. the screen flickers, some button became irresponsive.
Sony Ericsson just recently jumped onto the bandwagon of digital communication business. I had to seriously think whether i need it or not. 3G was just introduced then. So,I tried Sony Ericsson for the first time, but I couldn't remember the modal.
As the shimmering black beauty was not available, I took the Cyan colour instead. Sony Ericsson especially this model served me well. However about 1 year and a half, new models were out and relatively speaking, the phone that i used was rather bulky. Nevertheless, it's was good phone.
Back then, consumers emphasized no fashion, or how futuristic design .Its funny when a men boast their wealth by telling everyone he has the biggest of everything
" I have the biggest mansion, I have the biggest car, some even boast on the size of their Pip Pip, but when comes handphone, "Oh, I have the most compact and smallest handphone.
My next phone was Sony Ericsson W series.
It's slim, tiny, but packed with advanced operating system. It's got a built in 2.3 MP Carl Zeiss lens. But after about a year, the display begin to give problem. In addition to that, it powers off, and I mean total shut down for no apparent reason,'And I proceeded into buying another W series as I really love the features and not to mention its size. Hence I bought another W series.
Tadaa... Aas the previous W series has the same features, so I got accustomed to this phone in just a short time. After about 1 year, then the same problem I faced with the prior phone. It is almost impossible to use the phone.
Then the milestone in the quest for and upgraded, perhaps should try a different operating system altogether. Both my wife and I decided to purchase Blackberry Bold 9700.
I was playing and calibrating the phone the whole night.
In just a short matter of time, I was hooked on this phone. It's fast, and does nearly what Iphone can do. I would received notification that I had a mail or messages.
But I get to enjoy the phone for hardly 4 months when disaster strikes. I have this habit of bringing my laptop and phone to the toilet... don't ask me why, well, the computer is to catch the latest updates and news, and the phone just in case someone tries to contact me. After doing my "dumping" I took the laptop and back to the consultation room. it took me an hour to realized that my phone was missing! I suddenly broke into cold sweats, fear overwhelmed me.
I went to the toilet just to find my BlackBerry submerged at the bottom of a pail filled water.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry upon seeing my baby at the bottom of the pail. I was literally mourning for days!
Well,i guess it's time to get a new phone. I was wondering what's so special with Iphone... until I had one in hand.
I learn new things everyday with Iphone. The coolest part is there are applications where you make free phone calls. And man...they have this, the ultimate coolest application.
Once you register your Iphone, and if happened to misplaced your phone, or left it behind while shopping, or even it's been snatched away, you are able to locate the whereabouts of your phone.
Simple go to the computer and key in the URL
Which will bring you to,
Simply log in,and let the satellite detect your phone.
There, found it.
Niow to finish up this post, one peace of advice for parents. Never leave your kids sitting at the back of the unattended. Because this happened to me.
