Wow! Just figured out I am part of a global society,....Blogger!

Yeah, yeah, I've been blogging for more than 3-4 years now, and I have not earned RM150! Hah! Pathetic!
Well, that doesn't matter. I just realized that I am part of a global society, just being a blogger.

Now do you see the picture?

At least they got this one right!

Many "syabas" and "tahniah" to our Malaysian Medical Association for kick starting a year long program where the cost for Cervical Cancer vaccination is partially subsidized by them. For this particular
campaign, I salute to the policy maker, to whom who had to pull strings to make this happen.
For this
Ribuan Tahniah dan ucapan Syabas.
Current market price for a dose of Cervarix ranges from RM300+ to RM180++. With this campaign specifically targeted at girls of age 14-19 years old will benefit as the cost of vaccination would be subsidized by MMA(why not MOH??)
The total cost for vaccination is RM466 under such program.
So why wait, don't procrastinate any longer, register with the nearest clinic near you that took part in such program to enjoy the price cut. I hope I don't sound much like a salesperson, but merely reaching out to the public to take advantage of this.
1st Dose
Remember to bring the ID of the recepient
and RM 233
2nd dose
- RM 233
3rd dose
FREE!!!

F**k You!!!!?????

Business is a little slow today. It;s hard to be positive minded given the current situation. All I could think of to keep this clinic running is by doing more large scale campaigns.
Instead of sitting down worrying, I tried doing other things to divert my attention. I bought a book couple of years back, an autobiography by CNN anchorman, Mr Anderson Cooper.  This would be the 7th time I am reading the book. It's a page turner, and he wrote his experiences while covering the news on 2004 Tsunami,Hurricane Katrina, his childhood. Every single detail was so well written, so well that it actually mentally brings you to join him for a ride.
This is one book that I highly recommend.
The second book, well, was recommended by a friend regarding the similarities between Buddhism and Christianity.
To be frank, I need to load up my system with caffeine while reading the latter, not because it's not interesting, but it's about facts, while the autobiography brings you to Sumatra, Rwanda, Louisiana, and his personal struggle with the lost of his father at a young age and a brother who committed suicide. It makes me feel like I am actually witnessing the things that he vividly described.
Well, enough of that. Then while surfing Youtube this morning, man... YouTube never fails to amaze me. This is a real kicker.

It'd never cross my mind the word "F**K you" is so popular, so much that there's a song with F**K you as the title, and not only in the lyrics, just as any rap music.. All the cussing are written in the song. So F**K you is part of the song, but this guy made F**k You as a song.
And the imaginative Indian teacher who explained the versatility of the word "F**K"

What the heck??

Stumbled upon this while surfing in YouTube.

Well, I would normally start my day with breakfast and reading the news through my laptop. There are times there are interesting videos as it never fails to crack me up. Then I came across this video clip on an Indian teacher explaining the word "F**K" Enjoy...

Something amusing

Half way while driving to our weekly vegetarian restaurant, my wife suddenly shouted,"Dear!!!!!"
I was shocked and the first thing that came into my mind was an animal, insects, cockroaches, etc.
But instead, she showed me the shoe that she was wearing.
Sorry for the poor quality picture. It's taken with a phone. Instead of wearing her normal outing sandals, in the rush, she totally forgotten about her shoes and jumped straight to the car.
I dared her.... which she obviously chickened out.

A wonderful surprise!

Business was ok today. I spent the wholethe day no the net trying to understand "Podcast" Yes, until now I have no idea what podcast really means.
In the scriptures written by Aristophanes about soulmates, about how 2  strangers being far apart, but could sense the other half's presence.
I usually listen to rock, rap, contemporary, and even alternative for their lyrical significance. But once in a while, you'll stumble upon songs that make you sit back, wine down, and just listen to the sweet lyrics and its tune as it assails to your senses.
Here, is one of those song....

Doesn't it give you the mellowed feeling, like you're falling in love all over again? Well, at least it did in my case.
I thank you(yes YOU) for introducing this song to me.

Getting acquainted with IPhone

There is still a debate going on, which phone is the best? Well, we certainly can't compared apple to apple using Blackberry as comparison with Iphone. The closest system is HTC Desire HD which runs on a Android 2.2  operating system. The moment my wife handed her BB to the customer service personnel, he was shocked to see serrated marks on the top of her phone. The moment they opened up the cover of the phone, they were surprised(or rather horrified) to see the the battery and the inner casing wet.
Well, I obviously we didn't tell them  little Leo has been chewing on mummy's blackberry, and the "water on the inside of the phone was actually saliva! hihi!
Since my wife works two jobs at the same time, so, she's always on the run. She needs to be reachable at all time, and hence, i suggested HTC desire HD since she made it clear of her no Iphone policy.
I tend to agree with her thought.
HTC Desire HD has a bigger screen, however it's no where as clear as Iphone's retinal display which is rich and vibrant.
The only thing that I hate about the Iphone is their application which we would need to purchase.
Unless of course if you jailbreak your phone, but by doing so, you're automatically void of the warranty, and unable to upgrade the operating system.
When I bought my Iphone, It ran on 4.2OS,then I sent for jailbreak while holidaying in Melaka.
Since I synchronize and backups my phone daily, I accidentally upgraded the operating system to 4.3!!! Which perpetually wiped out my entire phone. But thank God I managed to retrieve the contacts from my lap top. It will take another few weeks before someone comes out with ideas on jailbreaking version 4.3.
After spending some hours with my Iphone, only did I realized it's potential. It's has a large number of applications. Even those free ones suffices.
As an avid photographer, and know nuts  about post photography processing the IPhone 4 has tonnes of such application.
These are only some of the applications I have in my phone. I can perpetually take HD quality photos and videos, and editing it on the phone itself.
I "cartoonised" my laptop.
There is application called Lomo Lomo that turns your ordinary photos to more contrasting ones like the one above.
Or perhaps touch up your new photos with a bit of nostalgia.
I think I am having more fun with my Iphone than my DSLR.
If anyone found out ways to jailbreak version 4.3, please do let me know,ok?

What do you think these are?

Seeing the trend today, school going children started taking handphones to school. Well,at least Isabelle's school disallowed such practice.
No matter what, being a parent, you will never stop worrying and p0ndering whether how she is doing, whether she's got problem coping with the school work.Normal handphone wouldn't be practical as she would start calling other people besides mummy and daddy.
Then by chance, we stumbled upon these:-
Lets have a closer look.
There's no panel to indicate number.Notice the top two button, with a women and a man carved on each button. Which means that she can either call daddy or mummy . It's cute.Brilliant idea.
Each of these cost RM100. Cheap. expensive, what do you think?

Random photos take today to kill boredom..

A picture speaks a thousand words.

I am a big fan of black and white photography. Not that I am against colored photos, but the emotions, the raw sense of spontaneity is forever immortalized through black and white photos.
One of my favorite is "The Migrant Mother" taken by Dorothea Lange, a photo journalist. Until today, the photograph is considered epitome of photography by capturing and humanized the tragic consequences of the great depression.
The photographer managed to capture the emotion. A good photo, always,,and mean always tells a good story.
During my previous trip to Thailand, we were strolling at Siam Paragon, a high class shopping complex, that sells branded stuff.
They had an exhibition there, and one off the picture caught my attention.
Though it's a reprint, the original one is safely placed in a museum in California.
I just stood in front of the photo, and I could actually see the sadness and desperation by looking at her eyes and facial expression.

hello again!

It's been about a week since my last post. The truth is there is so much things going on in my life. both personally and professionally. Lets just put it this way... my life is far from "ideal".
Many things occurred last 1 week. However I can't post those tiny bits as there isn't much to write about.
Business is slow as usual.
Since this post is  related to phones, let me guide you to a brief history of the phone's that I once owned.
My first handphone was from Nokia. Back then 2001, we have not installed dialed up internet connection, since broadband hasn't been introduced then.
My lovely Nokia 6100
I loved this phone to the max. Being my first phone bears a special bond. But sadly,in less than 4 months, it got stolen while I was on call in the hospital.
Back then, the two communication titans were Nokia and Motorola. But I still, I tend to favour Nokia for unknown reason. Perhaps the simplicity, not to mention the quality. Thus my second phone, Nokia 1100.
Among so many phone I've used, this would be the longest.I was using this phone for around 2 years, where phones with coloured screen with polyphonic ring tone was still at its infancy.
Today, this phone is still functioning and thought of giving it to Isabelle when she's old enough.
Since Samsung was the first company that came out with colour screen and polyphonic ring tones, in addition being endorsed and associated with the movie Matrix,I bought my first Samsung phone.
So it happened to be a flip phone. I find it rather"cool" when I flipped to answer callers. This last about 11/2 years. Then 3G phones emerges from the market, video phones, that enable MMS picture messaging arrived. I switched the other Titan in this business.
Motorola RZR. This phone is so small and and slim at the same time.I loved it so much that when I accidentally lost the phone, without giving a second thought, I went ahead to purchase the same modal.
Till date, I would think think this phone to be the slimmest around.Somehow signs of break down begin to show. the screen flickers, some button became irresponsive.
Sony Ericsson just recently jumped onto the bandwagon of digital communication business. I had to seriously think whether i need it  or not. 3G was just introduced then. So,I tried Sony Ericsson for the first time, but I couldn't remember the modal.
As the shimmering black beauty was not available, I took the Cyan colour instead. Sony Ericsson especially this model served me well. However about 1 year and a half, new models were out and relatively speaking, the phone that i used was rather bulky. Nevertheless, it's was good phone.
Back then, consumers emphasized no fashion, or how futuristic design .Its funny when a men boast their wealth by telling everyone he has the biggest of everything
" I have the biggest mansion, I have the biggest car, some even boast on the size of their Pip Pip, but when comes handphone, "Oh, I have the most compact and smallest handphone.
My next phone was Sony Ericsson W series.
It's slim, tiny, but packed with advanced operating system. It's got a built in 2.3 MP Carl Zeiss lens. But after about a year, the display begin to give problem. In addition to that, it powers off, and I mean total shut down for no apparent reason,'And I proceeded into buying another W series as I really love the features and not to mention its size. Hence I bought another W series.
Tadaa... Aas the previous W series has the same features, so I got accustomed to this phone in just a short time. After about 1 year, then the same problem I faced with the prior phone. It is almost impossible to use the phone.
Then the milestone in the quest for and upgraded, perhaps should try a different operating system altogether. Both my wife and I decided to purchase Blackberry Bold 9700.
I was playing and calibrating the phone the whole night.
In just a short matter of time, I was hooked on this phone. It's fast, and does nearly what Iphone can do. I would received notification that I had a mail or messages.
But I get to enjoy the phone for hardly 4 months when disaster strikes. I have this habit of bringing my laptop and phone to the toilet... don't ask me why, well, the computer is to catch the latest updates and news, and the phone just in case someone tries to contact me. After doing my "dumping" I took the laptop and back to the consultation room. it took me an hour to realized that my phone was missing! I suddenly broke into cold sweats, fear overwhelmed me.
I went to the toilet just to find my BlackBerry submerged at the bottom of a pail filled water.
I didn't know whether to laugh or cry upon seeing my baby at the bottom of the pail. I was literally mourning for days!
Well,i guess it's time to get a new phone. I was wondering what's so special with Iphone... until I had one in hand.
I learn new things everyday with Iphone. The coolest part is there are applications where you make free phone calls. And man...they have this, the ultimate coolest application.
Once you register your Iphone, and if happened to misplaced your phone, or left it behind while shopping, or even it's been snatched away, you are able to locate the whereabouts of your phone.
Simple go to the computer and key in the URL

Which will bring you to,
Simply log in,and let the satellite detect your phone.
There, found it.
Niow to finish up this post, one peace of advice for parents. Never leave your kids sitting at the back of the unattended. Because this happened to me.

Boring Saturday!

I was awakened by my alarm at 6.30am. Hey, clinic opens only at 9, so I went back to sleep. Within a fraction of time-space, it was already 9.30. I wasn't alarmed as my nurse would usually calls me whenever there is a patient waiting in the clinic. I bathed, put on my semi formal clothes, and head not to the clinic, but to the lady selling nasi lemak stall for my usual breakfast.
Not long after arriving at the clinic, a patient came.
It was a quite day today, so I've decided to flip out my camera and started taking some random pictures.
Not long after, my wife and Isabelle came by. My wife need to do her work at the office at the back of the clinic, while Isabelle had some problem with her Kumon homework.
She is learning division with odd numbers....Odd numbers?
Eg: 25divided by 4 = 6R1(means 6 remaining 1)
What the heck is this? This confuses the student.
I mean don't get me wrong, Isabelle is good in her maths, but when she gets questions like 81 divided by 4, or 45 divided by 3, she gets stumped.
So, in order to make things easy, I used some tiles and marbles as teaching materials.
Other than that, I am not expecting many patients today as the whether is rather a downer.
