This weekend, my wife,my brother in law, and myself decided to bring my mother in law out for a meal to celebrate Mother's Day.
Her range of diet is rather restricted as she only takes organic food.
The venue is Yogitree at Gardens Midvalley.
We headed down to the 1st floor of The Gardens where the restaurant is located.
Judging from the crowd there, I realized more Malaysian's are more health conscious then ever before.
The decorations and layouts of the restaurant gives a warm ambiance. A homely feeling. I noticed the chairs are actually at least 15 years old (because we had them while staying in Kedah) and got them repainted. The tables are made of solid rubber wood.
Even the menu are made from recycled papers.
The service provided is so-so. Not fantastic, but nothing to complaint about.
While little Natalie anxiously waiting for her food to arrive,
Isabelle got her undivided attention from playing with my Iphone.
This would be my first time eating "organic chicken".
Even though Natalie did not get her afternoon nap, she's so energetic that particular day. Running around, singing... there I managed to capture a glimpse of the top of her head.
Isabelle ordered carbonara spaghetti.
Looks yummy, so I ordered one for myself too!!!
The moment i place a spoonful of spaghetti into my mouth, it tantalizes my taste buds.
Taste a good, but I think they should put in less Olive oil into it.
Honey Ice lemon tea I ordered.
Tea with red beans, and many others traditional Chinese herbs.
Seafood in tomato sauce..
Organic Chicken... Man the mere size of the drum stick gave me a good idea on the size of this bird! It's undercooked, biting the meat is like chewing on a piece of latex, and I didn't know Organic chicken's skin is filled with at east 0.5cm of fats!
Eating this bird pose a challenge to me. With a fork and knife on my hands, it is not easy to cut this bird. I have no idea how much squeaky or rather shrieking sound with my utensils while cutting the meat off the bone. After a while, this was it looked like.
Check out the fats on the skin!!! Geezz... I wondered if I just ate
Or one of these.....
I dare not find out.
We had squid salad...
My mother in law had turkey ham sandwich.
Natalie was obviously pleased with the food.
And so was Leonidas..
After lunch, we just strolled around wasting time as we were waiting for time to pass by till evening to attend Grandfather's birthday dinner.
Strolling along Garden towards Midvalley was like an adventure to Leonidas. He was shouting in excitement.
I feel really relaxed when strolling with wife and kids once in a while. A chance to be a daddy is far more rewarding than being a doctor.
During the evening, we drove all the way to Selayang to a Chinese Restaurant called Mong Kok.
Boiled red eggs is a must, but i have no idea what's its' significance.
I don't know what this dish is called, but its certainly a feast to my eyes.
Their shark fin soup is tasty and filled with crab meat, shark fins, all the genuine stuff..
It was so good I had to have a second helping!
