I love photography and to date, I had spent several thousands only on lenses. 90% of the time, I would have my multipurpose traveling lens attached to my camera, a 18-250mm,f 3.5-6.3, that I bought to replace my kit lens of 18-70mm, and 70-300mm.The ones that really cause a dent in my financials are the specialized lens, my prime lenses.
Prime lenses produces the most beautiful portraits, without a doubt. Its "Bokeh" effect is better seen in photos taken with prime lenses.
Previously, I own a 100mm,f2.8. I takes fantastic pictures of my children as these prime lenses are consider fast lenses due to it's wide aperture that allows more lights to come into the camera's sensor.
The only problem is that, I have to stand quite a distant away from my subject since it's a fixed 100mm,
so guess what... I bought another one yesterday for my Penang trip tomorrow! A 50mm,f 1.4 primes lens.
I can capture fast actions through this lens now since it's aperture is 1.4!!!
